Former Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers Coach Pete Golding has been named the new, permanent head coach for Ole Miss after Lane Kiffin’s departure from the position. He will be coaching Ole Miss in the College Football Playoffs. More below.

2007-2009: Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Backs Coach for Tusculum.

2010-2011: Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Backs Coach for Delta State.

2012-2013: Defensive Coordinator for Southeastern Louisiana.

2014-2015: Defensive Backs Coach for Southern Miss.

2016-2017: Defensive Coordinator/Cornerbacks Coach for UTSA.

2018-2022: Defensive Coordinator/Inside Linebackers Coach for Alabama.

2023-2025: Defensive Coordinator/Inside Linebackers Coach for Ole Miss.

2025: Named permanent head coach for Ole Miss.
