Fun Fact, The challange nights weren't supposed to be 12 nights. But since everyone thought that was the case I went with it. Also fun fact. It increased the dev time by alot. In fact its its own game mixed into FNAFB 3.
So why haven't I made updates on the game? Well for the most part I have been busy with other things and the last two challenge nights are such a pain in the ass to conecptize and figure out. The 12th night in itself is very story focused and requires the cutsences to be done which I got alot to do on that front.
The struggle I have with this game is getting the VHS tapes to work out well. Because I can't think of any good story's to tell and then animate in source film maker. I don't want the VHS tapes to be generic scary videos. That's just boring. I want them all to be short films cut into 5 parts for each level. Problem is figuring out how to direct such a film or get time to actually get it done.
If any of you guys want to help me write a short story that can be animated into VHS tapes. Please tell me. Im on board for that.
Reflection on the nights
The challenge nights looking back where not something I intended to be so diverse and big. Hell they started off as just challenges to do in the first location of the game. The only reason I didn't do custom night is because I didn't want to be bothered to actually program programable AI for the main AI.
Challenge night has set a high bar for FNAFB games in the future which is a good and bad thing. Its now a staple and expect feature for each new sequel.
Challenge nights offer something new that different fan games wouldn't ever have the idea to do. Most fan games stick to a very modern and safe environment and rightfully so. But I wanted to show what it would be like to branch out. Alot of people gave me shit for the space station idea, the war idea and the tankership idea. But honestly in my mind I don't see whats wrong with having animatronics in space. In the future. When space stations are made public. People are gonna want to eat in space and have fun. What better fun then to have a animatronic space station? Like its something done in scfi all the time and it allows for cool shit like alien infected animatronics or shooting them out into the airlocks. I never understood what is wrong with that idea.
When the game comes out. I will make more of my youtube content more FNAF related. I know most of you are fnaf fans and are probably pissed that I only have been making videos about halo. So Ill fill that need soon enough. I hope you enjoyed this useless insight into this amazing fan game.
