Game update... but why, you might ask?

Some history…

About 5 years ago, Flashy Dansy was born as part of a competition, “The Arbitrary Gamejam” or TAGjam 15. This little game, product of a weekend’s work, managed to win the competition and receive some remarkable attention (18.000 downloads).

I moved on to other projects afterwards, so inevitably the game was slowly forgotten.

Present day…

It was only recently that I decided to push this game a little further. Since it was well-fit for mobile, I chose Flashy Dansy as the first game I would publish on Play Store. Sadly, it didn’t see half as much user attention as it had seen upon its original release.

Purely out of nostalgia, I decided to hold on to this game a little more: I made a new level, new character look and moves, and added some improvements. The result is the game that you see in this page.

Future?

I would love to see this game evolve further. However, I made the tough decision not to plan further development for the near future. I wish to look after my other projects, such as Stick Veterans, as a first priority.

This doesn’t mean I value this game any less; seeing people play this game and have fun with it has been a true reward for me. Below are some YouTube examples. Even if a handful of players enjoy this game again, it will be worth the job for me.

So, thank you for playing this game, and thank you for playing games, on behalf of all the developers out there. Your support is what keep us going.

Yours,

Kostas

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
