If you want to see how gameplay looks using the Oculus Rift DK2, just watch this video, where the developer was testing “Ultra” difficulty for the first time after implementing it:

Ok, so since people have suggested I do this, and noticing that a lot of FNAF fan games end up on this website, I figured it would be time to post mine here too. It’s strange how barely a month ago this project had so little content I was barely willing to share any of it - whereas by now we’ve got a semblance of a full playable night from the original FNAF game.
At this point One Night at Freddy’s 3D plays a lot like the first FNAF game, and offers the same levels degrees of hecticness, dread and finally fright. Given the game i mainly designed to work for virtual reality, some thing were done a bit different than if it were destined for screens. Most of these differences affect UI and lighting. Mostly, I didn’t want a player to be able to see animatronics in the hall/dorrs without absolutely needing to use the lights. Other differences included the cam security system, which tries to be “in your face” all while elaving a slither of your outside FOV so you don’t feel like head tracking stopped working on you.
All in all this game is an experimental work in progress. It’s not perfect and could sometimes have issues, but now that I’ve been sharing it, I strive to keep this project in one stable piece that everyone can enjoy problem-free.
I hope you get yourself a copy - whether it be for virtual reality or just screens - and let me know what you think. Report issues if any, I’ll try to help, I always do.
