Gnome More War Demo v1.0

I’ve decided to release a playable demo of the game, but outside Game Jolt. This is to avoid getting bad first impressions.

The demo is completely void of audio, so if you’re the type who can’t play a game that way, I recommed you skip this one and wait for either the next demo or the final release. The purpose of the demo is to gather feedback from players mainly regarding balance, pacing, and fun factor. In reality though you’re welcome to say whatever you want about the game. As long as it’s not a massive overhaul of the core mechanics, I will consider your suggestions.

Here’s the link. The game is made with Unity, so be sure you’re using the right browser (NOT Chrome afaik).

I thought I had move on...but Google Play warned me to update my app to support the latest Android version or else it would be taken down. Now I have new gameplay ideas so I decided to make another update. Coming to Gamejolt soon!

Made some adjustments to the boss AI so that the fight is more strategic, less spammy. This is meant to be the first boss encounter. What do you guys think?

War Room - Background

Concept design for the Dark Forest level. #gamedev

Done with character swapping! Swap between the melee tank (Aether) and the long ranged mage (Myst). It's gonna be be fun designing levels that accommodate contrasting play styles. #screenshotsaturday

Title Screen Here’s the new title screen for the game. It shows a bunch of gnomes stealing from your barn! I think this gives the player a sneak peek of the gameplay. Also it’s better than a static drawing, in my opinion.

Title Screen v3

Update 1.1.8c is out now. With this I have optimized the game to take up around 300mb of RAM. Hopefully this eliminates all those ANRs and crashes! Check it out: https://tinyurl.com/2s43rhk8

Here's to hoping 2021 will be much better than 2020. Happy New Year!

I'm starting on a new level (Dark Forest), but before I dress it up I need to make sure it plays good, so I start by laying out the paths using wireframe tilesets. #gamedev
