I mean.....the kids' last name is "Schmidt" instead of "Cawthon", meaning it is probably a née surname of their mom. If FNaC characters are exist in DSaF universe, then Mary also should exist, and this would be weird if she would have the same last name as Mikey & Mike Jr., & yet she wouldn't be their relative in some way or another. Also, Mary was clearly a fan of "Rat & Cat Theater"(well, before the events with 2 murdered employees & her brother getting slapped by The RAT), & as we know, Scott & Emil(owner of Candy's in DSaF universe) are clearly sworn enemies & business rivals, which can be the reason why Scott would broke up & divorce with his wife in the first place! He would be like "Wait, so you visited the predecessor of CANDY'S?! MY RIVAL?! AND YOU WAS A FAN OF THAT SH#TTY PLACE?! You're a traitor ma'am, I F#CKIN HATE YOU! FUCK YOU BITCH! GO AWAY FROM MY HOUSE & TAKE AWAY YOUR UGLY CHILDREN FROM MY SIGHT!!!😡😡". By that interpretation, the whole reason why Mary would be working at Candy's in 1987 during FNaC 1 events....could be just to spite her phone-headed ex(well, besides also the need to feed her poor sons).

Yeah, you can ask "but FNaC 3 takes place in 1962, & Mary was a little girl back then. How she would be a wife of Scott who started his business back in 1970's?". Well.....first of all, we can't be really sure that OG FNaC dates are 100% canon to DSaF as well, second of all, we don't really know how old she was in 1962(especially in DSaF universe), & third of all, we don't know how old Mikey & Mike Jr. were during 1983, when they were born, or when did Scott even fot married.
