What came to my mind was that the posters of the game show us a lot of things, like poster of clara, if you look carefully, in it poster, clara has a normal wing instead of Frankenstein's hands, or felix straightens his tie with his HANDS. I think that maybe something unfortunate has happened in this place now... and even friedrich himself who can't walk anymore.
But maybe not in this place.... Thanks to @dianakim 
who discovered a secret from the game in his last post, a new poster is shown that says Finger Lakes in the center of New York, which maybe this poster shows another branch of this restaurant. And the events took place there.
