The game is doing great and is almost finished. The quiet period lately is simply because I wanted to hit some specific milestones before dropping another devlog. After all, it would feel a bit silly to release a second one if there was only minimal progress since the first, wouldn't it?
Right now, I'm just waiting for some friends who are collaborating on this project to wrap up their tasks. Since I'm a normal human being who believes in respecting others' (something that is totally not hard to find these days), they're working at their own pace. And I assure you, no one is slacking off. consistent progress is definitely happening.
You can already complete the game's main "campaign" (the first night), with all subsequent content almost finished too.
My remaining tasks are to polish Custom Night & make it fair, code the story revealer and then... that's pretty much everything!
I've chosen to wait for my friends to complete their sections, even though I could jump into other parts of the game. It's been a refreshing break, actually, and I've used this time to tinker with a little side project. Just for those wondering, it's this game.
I'll likely finish that project first, as it's way smaller and I'm doing it on my own, meaning I don't need to wait for others to finish something.
Once a specific set of things has been finished, you will all receive a proper Devlog 2. Thank you for all the support and patience you've given me.
I'll admit I'm not sure how well this game will be received. It's definitely not "slop"; it's just... weird? It's definitely way better than a few other TRTF games we've gotten in a while, at least I hope so (if this game is received even more poorly than those, then I'm going to lose it ).
I may give this game a major update depending on how it's received and overall how I feel about it sometime after it comes out. I like the game and how it currently is, but I might update it and make it a little better in the future to make me feel happier about it.
This only has to do with the stuff I've done with the game. everyone else helping me has done nothing but the best. I am absolutely 100% happy with the stuff they've made for me, and I'm very grateful too. It's mostly just my parts of the game that I'm a bit unsure about. I may hand out a build to some people and see what tester feedback I receive.
Anyways that's all, unless something noteworthy happens, I'll see you on devlog 2 here. bye bye!
