Recently, it came to my attention that the passion for working on this mod had gone out of my heart. After all, as of this post, I have been working on it nonstop for over a year while simultaneously juggling school and other projects, including the actual LISA: The Pointless. The sheer number of ideas I have had for this mod is nearly innumerable, and as I worked on this update, they continued to pile on at a rate much faster than the actual production of the game. Eventually, I saw the writing on the wall; with how much I wanted to add to the update, it would never get done. It would become its own "Monster Update," a game that tested the limits of its creators as they struggled to keep up with its ever-expanding contents. It was at that moment that I knew I could continue down that path no longer. It was too much.
So, what does this mean in brief? Well, this update won't be as gigantic as I wanted it to be. The entire second part that I had planned is being discontinued, even in spite of the work that has been done for it. It is a true shame, but this takes a monumental weight off me and the rest of the team's shoulders. The main game update will still be happening, though some content from it is being cut. Despite this, I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised to see just how much new there is to discover.
Following the release of the update, I will slowly elucidate on the nature of what was lost in the creation of this update. Scholar's very own cutting room floor. There will be a lot to cover, so expect to see weekly or biweekly posts at that point!
And that is all I have to say, other than that I am sorry for getting everyone's hopes up. I will reiterate just so there is absolutely no confusion: the main game update has not been cancelled, just reduced a bit. There is still something to look forward to. Still, I apologize for promising something that I could not deliver in the end. Thank you all for your continued support, and I will see you again very soon.
