For me, it was a pretty solid showcase. I watched with rather low expectations considering what past partner showcases have been (basically a marketing vehicle Nintendo uses to distribute third party announcements, getting them out of the way before they announce a bigger presentation at a later time), so this ended up being better than I anticipated.
The titles I'm most interested in are:
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble
Hope I won't be wrong, but this looks like the Super Monkey Ball sequel fans of the series have been waiting for! Pleeeeeeeeease be good.
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals TimeI played Fantasy Life on my 2DS to the absolute limits—crafted best possible endgame gear and so on, even though it honestly wasn't necessary; just had so much fun with it. When I first saw this entry in a different Nintendo Direct, I had some reservations about it. After seeing today's footage, it's looking better to me; more like a proper sequel to the original game.
Pepper Grinder
Reminds me so much of Drill Dozer on the GBA. Although a bit short, I loved that game; really a gem among the GBA game library. As far as we know, Drill Dozer isn't getting a sequel anytime soon, so Pepper Grinder looks like it'll fill that empty space quite nicely.
Endless Ocean LuminousWow, what a throwback! Couldn't help but shed a few tears when this was revealed. Was NOT expecting this.
LOL Looks so relaxing, and it's really cool that you'll be able to play with groups of up to 30 people online at a time. I'm not sure how much there is to do online besides just... Having company on your adventures? But, eh, sometimes in games like this it's just nice to have some other people cruising along with you.
Let me know if there was anything in this direct that you're particularly excited to play, and I hope you're all having a pleasant day so far!
