hey everyone! been a bit, i took 2 weeks or so off from working on the game (mainly because of my birthday and some other stuff) but ive been hard at work the past few days, so enjoy this little teaser!


along with the video, here's a list of everything that's been changed since my last post!

-lights and light switches finally work. meaning the house isnt in total darkness anymore! as of now, bulbs aren't removable, but i do hope to make lights more important in the future.

-due to popular demand, items are no longer pushed towards you if they come into contact with a wall while being held. im not opposed to changing it back to how it was before so let me know how you feel about this

-wardrobes actually function now as hiding places, and the doors are more closed when you aren't in them

-the boiler room now has, well, a boiler in it (up until now it's been completely empty lol)

-the latch from the prototype has been brought back! and it works exactly the same as it did then

-there are now fences surrounding both the neighbor and the player's house (it took way too long to place all them)

-the neighbor's car's tires have been replaced with the model of the tire object. meaning the tires on the car and the tires you can pick up now match!

-remotes now work as expected, instead of turning on and off all tvs at once. they now turn on only the tv you are facing (up to a certain distance)

-added shelves to the fridge and a light to the microwave. i love tiny details.

-fixed A LOT of hitboxes, making them more accurate

for it being nearly a month since my last post, i didnt make as much progress as i would've liked, but as i said i did take two weeks off development. some of the things in this list were pretty time consuming, mostly due to my inexperience. but im still pretty happy with what ive made so far (yall should've seen how proud i was when i got the lights and the latch working) and i hope you all enjoy seeing what ive put together along with me :)

how do we feel about the new lighting so far..?

interactable toilet. big changes i know!! (note: the neighbor WILL hear the toilet flush, but for the moment he is deaf)

was testing out different lightings for fun and im wondering... which of these do we like the best? (5 different lightings with two different angles each so you can compare)

these are not final, im just tryna figure out which direction i should go in

also, detail :)

following this post, development will be slow for a couple weeks. my girlfriend is visiting again so that'll be my priority for the time being. i hope you understand, and ill be sure to keep updating you all as often as i can!

question: how do we feel about the neighbor having a stone path instead of a dirt path? (or both?)

still not finished yet. still working on getting the sky color and brightness exactly how i want it. but how's it lookin so far?
