I stole every item from the neighbor's house and used it all to decorate mine! I absolutely LOVED this fangame and had a lot of fun playing it, and I'm excited to see where the updates go from here.

(btw if u hang paintings in ur house the neighbor has a chance to break into ur house and look at them lol )

Ha I immediately broke the game and got rid of the neighbour. I turned on the TV in front of my house and threw it out onto the floor right in front of my doorstep. The neighbour ran out to it, glitched half way through the floor to turn it off, then fell through the ground and disappeared. Letting me complete the game as if he got stuck in my house. Was still pretty scary as I didn't know if he was really gone or not.

Really like the recreation! A few suggestions for any future updates:

It would be really cool if you could drag furniture like drawers as show in the DevGam animation. For example, if you're being cashed by the neighbor, you can pull a nearby drawer to the door to barricade it. This could also be applied to the ladder in the back of the neighbors house, so in later updates when more floors are added, you can actually use it to make your way up to a window! Might be a bit too OP though, so I get why you might not want to add it lol

You probably already know this but the lawnmower currently cannot move normally, whether by itsself or by being pushed by the player. This would be cool as like another example, in the DevGam, the player sets up the lawnmower to hit the car and that's what causes the alarm to go off. (really cool feature btw!)

It doesn't seem like the neighbor can hear when items are dropped in the house like he can in the base Pre-Alpha game. Would be a nice touch IMO.

The graphics menu always resets to all HIGH and 60Hz whenever brought up. Would be nice if it saved the settings last set each time you brought it up.

What's this? The shower/sink/toilet doesn't have running water? 0/10 LITERALY UNPLAYABLE!!!!! (I joke I kid, but it would be a nice addition)

This could be just me, but I feel like the neighbor should be able to hear you if you're running near him. This (plus the throwing items) would add to the stealth of the game IMO.

The Neighbor should walk towards flashlight beams to check their source. For example, if you're shining a light into the bedroom from the hall and he's inside, he should walk towards the hall to investigate

The TV. Please. I'd really love if it had more than white noise

IDK how hard this would be to implement, but being able to fill toolboxes and then carry the box + whatever's inside would be cool, like a little additional inventory in a way.

The trash bin lids are a bit buggy when trying to put them back on the bins. Such a nitpick, but just a bug I noticed.

Literally just for cosmetics, but being able to turn on the stove? Ooo, or maybe you could use it as a new distraction?

Same with the microwave, like after shutting the microwave door after opening it, it could function as another alarm clock kinda?

Being able to open/shut your car doors/trunk. Another cosmetic thing.

This one you can completely ignore, but I personally would like some sort of ghost mode so you can watch the neighbor. I mean, the AI is coded with a TON of tasks, and it's just a shame you don't really see them in gameplay.

Honestly, that's all the features I can really think about at the moment. Now to the things I LOVE about the game:

Car alarm - Nice touch and mechanic

Using the Key vs. Lockpick / Crowbar vs. Hammer - I love this. Really incentivizes the player to keep looking for better alternatives or risk getting caught

The white light switches - Idk why, but they just look a bit better than the blue ones IMO.

The new player house decor - Love it! Although it'd be nice to have a few more items to fill the house with. Maybe a feature where you can unpack some boxes and grab items from them?

The lightbulbs - need I say more?

The random spawn locations of key items - Adds a lot to the gameplay loop

Literally everything else - this is just such a well made game, especially for a PRE-ALPHA!?!? (WHAT!?!?!) Keep it up, this is quite literally one of the best not only fan-games but just games in general that I've ever played!

Edit: BTW, forgot to mention, maybe make it so the chase music only starts when you see the neighbor? It could add to the horror factor a lot more. You could make it so you hear his footsteps running towards you subtly, just like in the prototype?

Heres some suggestions/ideas because why not

1. House variations: everytime you progress the wallpaper objects doors change, in early screenshots of the pre alpha, house variations were supposed to change the wallpaper, so i thought it would be a cool idea. (this is a different from the house variations you would see in the normal pre alpha)

2. facial rig for neighbor: he mostly has no emotions he got his facial rig in alpha 2 so why add it into the game?, when hes chasing you he could have a angry face

3. highlight crossair: yes

4. ai debug menu: well the ai is really good in this game it'd be nice to add that, you might not add this one tho. you could change his view sights and show navigation make him do tasks it'd be cool:

5. make the code randomized: dont really like how you can just get the code cus you know, you could make the code spawn in random spots, randomize the numbers. makes for a good puzzle.

not really a suggestion but are you going to add the tutorial section with the orange light coming out of the basement door? or add something to the green light rooms

anyway bye sorry for long essay.

Hello Neighbor, a game that everyone knows and everyone wishes had turned out like what was shown in trailers and promo images. There's no shortage of recreations; and I've played many of them, but none have captured truly what I believe is the definitive version of Hello Neighbor.

Taking inspiration from early screenshots, trailers, and of course the early public builds, Hello, Neighbor! Reborn is designed to recreate and expand upon what was showcased back then. Many things shown off during the prototype/pre-alpha era have been added back, with improvements!

The basement is your end goal, and your neighbor will protect it by any means necessary. Whether it be blocking doors, boarding up windows, setting up traps, or even something as simple as reboarding the basement door. Remember, strategy is key. Every time the neighbor catches you, it gets harder and harder to enter his house. Avoid getting caught at all costs.

Made with the template by @OwenCampos

Keep in mind the game is still in development, so anything seen in screenshots or in game may not have finalized lighting, item position, graphics, or features.
