Hey everyone! I've been working on 1.1 for a few days now, and i have now released a new devlog featuring 4 new features of the update, read the article below to learn more about the game and it's current work state!


EDSOF Devlog #2

Hi everyone! I’ve started work on update 1.1 a few days ago, and I’ve gotten 3 features to show you for this devlog!

Opinion on the state of the game

I have been working a lot on some of the stuff, making dungeons, fixing small bugs, and upgrading old stuff, thanks to everyone who has been following me, as this supports me in updating the game more! :D Let's move on to the new stuff now!

New Menu (WIP Work-In-Progress)

I’ve never really liked the current menu for EDSOF, as i thought it seemed to full and filled with too much, so i’ve decided to revamp it using plugins, as of now it is still a work in progress so what i will show will change in the update!

Here is what the menu currently looks like, i might add something small to the right, to make it less empty, but for now I am proud of it!

New Dungeons (Preview)

I promised 2 dungeons in the first devlog, and out of those 2 : 

  • They both need testing

They will all be differently themed, with new mechanics, puzzles, and enemies! Here is a little preview of what they look like for now.

Forest Dungeon :

Ice Dungeon :

Those 2 dungeons are currently done and in the works, the ice one will include some ice puzzles, and the forest one will include a mechanic that might come back in future dungeons,

New Starter Cutscene

That’s right! The “old, boring, no visuals, just dialogue” cutscene is being replaced with actually visuals, new dialogue, and some more lore! 

This is how i always envision the cutscene in my mind, instead of the black screen, and spammed dialogue that is the old cutscene, although it might still get some changes before the update releases! Here is a small screenshot/preview of the cutscene

New Skills

To spice up the combat a bit, i've decided to add skills, there currently are only 3, i do not know if i will add others, here is what the fire ball skill will look like in the game!

All of the skills are currently in the works, their damage, mp costs will probably change in the update!

And thats going to conclude it for this devlog, im happy to have shared all of the new features that i added!
