Friday, February 28th, 2025 is day I will never forget. To be safe side, I won't go into details about what happen, but it took place early in the morning at a school assembly. Before it started, our principal asked us to pay attention during the show and take away at least one in secure from the show. For those who don't, Tom Coverly is a magician and a comedian who preforms at different places, and yesterday and he came to our school. After he did a few tricks, made a few jokes and told some stories about previous school assemblies he's been at, he got to the main part. To make a long story short, he basically said how things such as beauty magazines make our age feel insecure, he hammered in the fact that not only does it not take a whole lot to grow as a person, but also we're perfect in our own way and we shouldn't let others words or actions define us. It really inspired me and made me really realize some things I hadn't thought of before. As the assembly was wrapping up, I walked up to him and told him that it was the best assembly I had ever been at, and that his kids are insanely lucky to have him as a father. He thanked me and gave me a signed Sprite Zero Sugar can (the reason being he did a begin a skit at the beginning of the assembly with sprite cans). The third image is the can and the fourth is the part that he signed. It was really nice, I haven't drank it yet, but I will before it goes bad, lol. So yeah that was my experience watching Tom Coverly, I'll definitely look any other shows and skits he does. Just wanted to make this post to talk what a inspiring person he is.
