As the text above says, bosses are no longer coming in v1.5.0, and will be added in an update further down the line.
Recently I've felt that TOO MANY NIGHTS has been in a bit of a stand-still, as it's been 5 months since v1.5 and no work has been done bosses at all due to so much of the code needing to be changed to account for them.
I know this is going to sound disappointing to some people, as bosses are a very anticipated feature, but I feel this is going to be much better for the game in the long run. Bosses are still planned, but they're going to be something I work on in the background while I get smaller, much more frequent, updates out in the meantime.
So, what are the next few updates going to look like?
The plans for v1.4.7 haven't changed much, it'll contain:
A full re-code of the "Rogue Screen" sprite, containing many quality of life improvements to basically anything that isn't the menu and main gameplay (also makes adding features so much easier)
A full rework to Sally, making her much more fun and rewarding to play
And other rebalances
v1.5.0 will now release much sooner than originally planned, and it'll have:
Alternate locations, essentially a bunch of extra modifiers that temporarily change how the game plays massively (this has already been mostly implemented and is already in pre-release versions)
"Challenge Runs," essentially think of Isaac's challenges where you do a run with extra wacky conditions put on top of it for an unlock
A complete overhaul to the menu, making it look much nicer and with more features (also making it easier to work with the current code is an utter mess)
Probably a handful of new playable characters
And probably more enemies and penalties
I can't say for sure what future updates will have, but I hope to start releasing them at a quicker pace than I have been recently.
