2025's been kind of a torcher year especially the summer period, so sadly the extremely generous release window I initially gave myself ended up falling through. Nevertheless I've been gradually picking up the pace and have made more progress on the game in the last 2-3 months than basically most of last year LOL. If I keep it up then this year should be THE year. In the meantime even at the time I would still come back to the game every now and then to at least tweak things, change up characters' mechanics and better plan out for the content that's yet to be made. I wanna make sure that Legalized has a good main game too and isn't just a bonus content merchant.

This post was mostly just going to be me explaining myself for why there wasn't much progress but genuinely people don't seem to care that much and I'm really grateful for the positive reactions despite the fact I guess I'll just yap away about random things like uhhhh

This is something I wanted to put in the media tab for the funny until I realized you can't put gifs there AFTER I made it so I might as well put it here. While you probably don't have to worry too much about difficulty when it comes to my games anyway, one thing that I'm sure annoyed people when it came to TRTF 4 is what the fuck do I do if I need to use the locker and steam at the same time and I decided to basically nullify those situations. The amount of times you use steam will somewhat depend on how well you play so just being attacked a lot of the times is a punishment in and of itself, the additional punishment of needing to somehow use two defense mechanics at the same time is simply unnecessary.

As you probably guessed from the description I have actually succumbed to kinda caring about TRTF's story and it is much more of a focus here than it was in TRTF3LE where I had Vincent bitchslap LEGEND for some reason I don't know, the powerscalers loved that one and I can assure Legalized will provide material for that audience too regardless. Considering that at the end of TRTF 4 Grön just fucks off and Blake I guess also just fucks off, I figured the game could even have a whole alternate ending and it would still kinda fit in.

And even before the endings, it is kinda weird how TRTF 4's cutscenes mostly just focused on Vincent killing kids when we already had three games dedicated to that and Grön just kinda pops into existence on the one after night 5, that's something I wanna kinda balance out. As stated before I don't want to change the actual course of the story told too much, and instead try add more details and context so it feels less like the events that happen just happen out of nowhere.

Lastly I might as well repost the spoilers with no context image for those who haven't seen it since it actually aged well I just added Cloud

I wonder how many people I tricked into thinking that the only difference in the reuploaded trailer was the scanlines by the way
