Some time ago, I found out that I seem to be pretty good at one of my all-time favourite NES games, Little Nemo: The Dream Master.

Here's a messy speedrun I did on Twitch in 2018 of my best time. :)

At the time, this speedrun landed me in 9th place on the world record list, which I just couldn't even believe... I really don't consider myself to be a speedrunner, and I had no desire of aiming for 1st place, but it still felt pretty great, let me tell you!

Since then, there have been more who have become interested in speedrunning Little Nemo, so I've been knocked down to 18th place, but you know what's really cool? My time is still directly between Bitty_Kong and Demo, the two speedrunners I learned a lot of tricks from. It's such an honour to me to have been able to do well enough that my time can be seen alongside theirs.

I actually messed up quite a lot toward the end, because I got so crazy excited over getting a difficult trick right in "Purple Hell" that let me keep the lizard to the next zone with the falling spiky ceiling. This allows you to jump without having to worry about the spikes in the ceiling, because they were not programmed to detect collision with the player when riding the lizard! Playing the game the normal way, you would typically ride a frog up to that point, which is a total pain... Still, the fact I got that trick right combined with this being my best time, I'm really happy with how this came out in the end.

Hope any of you who are interested enjoy, and I also hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! If not, here's hoping it'll get much much better. Take care!

I've finally added a channel to my gallery community for photos, by the way... LOL My photos are just point & shoot, nothing fancy, but it will help me keep track of what I've shared with you all.

My funny little take on a bandit and a trapper from Bandit Trap. #FanArtFriday

Here's a photo from one of my recent walks! I think daffodils have to be one of the most welcome sights after a long cold winter.

It's chilly again today, but I have the wood stove fired up and cranking out the heat! Hope everyone's doing well.

I was invited to the final beta playtest on Steam for Bandit Trap. I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the Game Jolt outfit!

Like, this logo I designed back in 2010 is in a video game on Steam. Wuh? Trying to wrap my head around that.

Here's #MyBandit and #MyTrapper from Bandit Trap! Only changed a couple items from the immediate outfits that are available, but I like them this way. I prefer playing bandit currently.

Hope you're all having a good weekend so far!

This week's Fan Art Friday celebrates Super Mario! Accept the quest in your quest log to get started.

Here's a surface pattern design I painted that was inspired by an embroidered jacket. You can probably see I used an arch motif as a guide for this one. I think it looks really cool for upholstery (chair mockup courtesy of Spoonflower).
