Ok - I admit everything - since I last wrote an article for GameJolt there have been many new updates and improvements to Hive Quest. Most of the time I post devlogs on Indie DB or Twitter so sorry for being such a total slacker.

Right now I am in the final stages of creating a new version of the demo, which will be available when Hive Quest hits Kickstarter this Summer and also available on GameJolt.

For now, here's a sneak peek at some recent cinematic improvements for the opening scene, set in a little girl's bedroom on a moonlit night. - I'll be posting further articles here on GameJolt over the coming days just to keep the community up to date on all that has happened :)

The whole story book concept is a great way of introducing the story line rapidly and launching the player into the main game play quickly.

Anywhoo, more later, come find me in these places. Stay safe from COVID19 and have a wonderful week :D

I have added rewards for quests so that villagers can give you something in return for your hard work helping them. 🥳

I want to know - what's your favourite quest reward?

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

Just a Pico sprite

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
