I've been working hard. Been learning Unity from scratch, and from the ground up as well. The past few months have been very full of change, but good things have come of it. Most importantly:

Got a reliable job!

I now have a stable job as an English tutor! With this much-needed stability and revenue, I can focus way, way, WAY more of my time into working on this game! Its absolutely wonderful, and I couldn't be happier.

Visual Upgrades!

So! As you can see in the vid, I've been working hard to try and show the visual style I want. Learning from scratch isn't easy, but it IS rewarding. The font is actually my own handwriting, which I've put into the computer with https://www.calligraphr.com . Very cool site. Adding to the traditional pencil-on-paper style.

As you can see, the visual style is 3D backgrounds with drawn textures and 2D animated characters, all traditionally drawn with pen and pencil, colored online. It's full of all the painfully bright, garish colors you loved from Who I See!

What IS this game?!???

It has 1st-person mystery-solving gameplay that'll be a mix of Ace Attorney and Return of the Obra Dinn, two fantastic games.

In my game, every piece of dialogue can be compared to other pieces, and you'll have to solve mysteries by figuring out which 3 pieces of dialogue match up to reveal the secrets of those around you. My next video will have this gameplay so you can see it in action.

What about that 1st person 3D intro for Who I See?

Originally, I intended to just make a 1st person view of the intro from Who I See, but I realized that'd just be 2 minutes of looking at some animations of Peter.

Y'all deserve better, and I want to make better for y'all.

So, I decided to turn it into my next game.

It is not a remake of Who I See, though it might use the same characters and the same location. Not sure yet. It's a new game, which I've been calling Project LIAR so far, a temporary title.

What now?

I'm going to continue working hard on my game. The next goal is to be able to show off the gameplay I have in mind. I hope y'all enjoy!

Also, I wonder if I should just have these posts on the Project LIAR page now. Hm. Maybe both? We'll see!

I'm also going to be making an official twitter for the game. I'll let y'all know when that's done.
