Humphrey's Hot Wings Devlog 1

I meant to post this last week, sorry about that :[


Intro:

Like I stated earlier, I meant to post this last week, but yeah, I got some work done on Humphrey's Hot Wings. This is the 1st official Devlog for the game, and there are more to come once I'm further in development. Anyways, let's get started.


Scripting:

I have a few scripts in the game already that will basically control the player's Humanoid's speed, and jump power. I added this because the menu background is going to be a wall, since I'll have a 3D character with animation to the right. If the player is able to walk in front of the camera, or jump over the wall, well, let's just say it wouldn't be too good on my part. I'm also working on adding a script that controls the camera at certain points so that I don't have to adjust camera settings in a bunch of other scripts, though I'm not finished with it yet. That's all I have done for scripting, let's move on.


Building / Modeling:

So, I don't have anything done for building yet, and I don't have any models in the game, so there's really nothing to put in this section. Only part I have in the Workspace is a black wall for the menu :/


User Interface (UI):

I originally completed the warning screen, but recreated it to be better, with UI Tweens, and typewriter effects, etc. But yeah, I finished the new warning screen and credits section, gonna be starting on the menu soon.


Things to Expect but May Change:

Alright, here's a list of things to expect in the game, like game mechanics, environment, animatronics and whatnot.

  • A power mechanic like in the original FNAF

  • An oxygen mechanic (may not add that)

  • Vent system

  • More than 3 animatronics (wowwww so fascinating )

  • A 1980s style restaurant environment


Summary:

Yeah, there's some work done, but there's so much more that needs to be done. I'll probably post another Devlog after I finish creating the menu, or after I start building the restaurant. Here's a list of everything I talked about in this post if you just scrolled through -
