Hello everyone. I'm writing this because I need to be honest with the community and, above all, with myself. Recently, I've made a series of mistakes that have affected people I respect, such as @TaiKy
, @Morganproductions2
, and @Luxvozz
, and it's time to face the music.
Regarding my actions: I want to publicly admit my unethical behavior in my recent projects:
Content plagiarism: I copied and edited the description of Mario '85 Redux for my Mario 2004 game page without permission.
Lack of credit: I used and edited a sprite by CariSmant (D#rio) without giving the artist the credit they deserve.
Misuse of material: I took a thumbnail from the Mario '85 Redux Discord server, which led to an unfair misunderstanding where my friend @EdwarBriceno
was even blamed. I want to clarify that the responsibility was entirely mine.
I deeply regret these actions, as well as my dishonesty and bullying behavior towards others. I was unaware of the harm I was causing, and today I am ashamed of my role in the EXE and Horrorbrew communities.
My current situation:
I'm not trying to use this as an excuse, but rather as an explanation for my erratic behavior. I'm currently going through a very difficult time:
Constant conflicts within my family.
A deep sense of loneliness and demotivation.
An overwhelming level of stress and anxiety due to schoolwork.
All of this has led me to a breaking point where I question whether my presence on Game Jolt and my projects truly have any meaning.
The way forward to get back on track, I have decided to take the following steps:
Direct apologies: I will personally reach out to those affected to apologize.
Authenticity: I will begin working on my own resources and projects from scratch to regain my integrity.
A change in attitude: I commit to being a more respectful and collaborative person from now on.
Thank you for reading this far. I hope that, in time, my actions will speak louder than my past mistakes. Good luck to everyone with their projects.
