i forgot how much i hated sifting through vegaful's database


the way the skills are organised are a mess, character-specific skills are scattered everywhere

some skill and animation names are just random song lyrics, which i found cute at first, but when you're in the middle of going through them for the umpteenth time, it starts to become mildly annoying

same goes for the improper grammar and shortened words like "dbble", it feels like leetspeak

the animation names don't match their skill names and make my paranoid ass double-check if i've pasted everything together correctly

jerry's old animations with the old spritesheet are all still there for some reason, they either forgot or didn't bother doing the spring-cleaning

and the programming for character-specific items like the special bullets feel so janky

they are minor inconveniences, but they add up to make something that is far more troublesome to mod than it should be

really though, why did gordy golden have a bunch of barrel bros and guys dropping concrete blocks hanging in his base? did he negotiate an agreement with the barrel people to share their territory? are the guys dropping blocks to look busy?
