I just figured out that maybe it would, in fact, be a good idea to use references in order to get better at drawing...

Ive sort of been avoiding that whole thing as Ive always thought that I can do it on my own, only using references for dino-anatomy lolz

For reference, Ive been drawing birds, mainly ducks today and couldnt really get the beak right... so I thought; "hey, why not use donald ducks beak as a reference? I wouldnt mind making it a bit cartoony, as the nature of the drawing IS silly, after all"

By the way, I hope you guys dont mind my sudden rant posts lol. I know Ive been mostly inactive since I joined gamejolt, randomly popping up with a few posts every few months... and now suddenly Ive made like 3, maybe 4 posts talking about random shit heh..

Either way, I suppose Ill be using references from now on? Moral of the story, I suppose, would be to never be afraid to experiment. Even if you think youre experimenting enough by trying new concepts, you should also let yourself expand further, such as using references, even if you dont think you need it. Just try it and figure it out from there!
