Alright so, for a while I have been stuck on Night 4 in FNaF 1. I have never beaten the main week in a FNaF game (except for on Xbox FNaF 1 but that was using cheats). Me and a friend decided to hop on Discord and I’ll screenshare and he’ll watch and see what I’m doing wrong, because I could not beat Night 4.
So, I loaded up FNaF 1 on Steam and screenshare to my friend in Discord. I start Night 4 and it goes the way it normally does, except that I made one change. Instead of keeping my cams on the show stage, I moved it to Cam 4B, because I realized that was a much better place.
I check lights, flip cams up and down, and check lights on repeat. At 4 AM, as per usual, I die to Foxy. My friend says that I’m doing everything pretty much perfectly, so we’re not sure what’s wrong.
I load up Night 4 again, and about halfway through 4 AM, I decided to close the right door and check Foxy, he was at his final stage, despite me being very consistent with my cam flips (we figured it was just Foxy going crazy with movement opportunities). I close left door, open right door and watch Foxy run down the hall, and resume my normal duties. I thought I had it this time, but unfortunately I died to power loss about 30 seconds (probably) from 6 AM.
I loaded in a third time and for some reason, Foxy was barely active at all. There was a single point where I checked him (I checked him probably 3 or 4 times this attempt) and he was Stage 1, but other than that, he was Stage 0 the entire night. Bonnie was extremely aggressive and so I was running low on power. It’s 5 AM and I’m at about 6 percent. I’ve locked Freddy on cam 4B and I can only hope. The moment I hit 0 percent power I hear the chimes of 6 AM. Me and my friend celebrate and the game loads Night 5 for the very first time.
Me beating Night 4 was not the crazy part. We were excited, but boy oh boy, we were not prepared for what came next.
Night 5 started fairly chill. Doing my same old strategy, and checking Foxy every once in a while. I had no intentions or expectations of beating this night. Why would I? It was my first ever try at it. At 4 AM, I was thinking I’d lose at any moment. My power was low. I hit 5 AM. 20 percent turns to 15, which turns to 10, and eventually, 5. Around 15 percent, Bonnie takes a longer-than-expected stay at my door which drains my power even faster. Eventually, decently into 5 AM, my power hits 0. Me and my friend can think of only despair. We wait for Freddy, who takes longer than normal to come to my door. I look into the illuminated eyes, waiting. Freddy finishes his song, again taking longer than we except. Then, darkness. We wait. I close my eyes and hope. A solid 10 seconds pass. I brace for the iconic FNaF 1 scream, knowing that this attempt would be futile. But, instead:
Ding, ding, ding, dong, bing, bing, bing, bong.
I open my eyes at the sound of the night ending and watch the 5 rotate into a 6. I am speechless.
On my first ever attempt of Night 5, I had run completely out of power, watched through Freddy’s song, and waited, and just barely, just ever so slightly barely, listened to the glorious chimes that meant I had officially beaten the main week of Five Nights at Freddy’s.
I do not talk for a solid 15 seconds. I stare at the paycheck on the screen as it fades into the main menu.
My friend has been saying “Ain’t no way, ain’t no way.”
I finally echo his sentiment, “There’s no way.”
“No, way you just one-shot Night 5,” he says.
I think I myself, “Now I’m the king of Five Nights at Freddy’s.”
We sit speechless for a little longer, and then say goodnight.
I am writing this 30 minutes after the fact. This is just wild. Has anyone else ever heard of someone beating Night 5 on their VERY FIRST try? I certainly haven’t.
I don’t know what else more to say.
Have a good night, folks.
