I'm Back!

After having a lack of internet for months, I return! And with good news!

The engine has been being worked on, and a lot of bugs that have been previously apparent have now (for the most part) been worked out.

Lighting affects have been added (thanks Khas)! Skill tree has been added but can be super overpowered if you grind (thinking of adding a level barrier). Finally, the story has gone through a complete rerun (again ?). I can’t really give out much but I will be releasing some important character backstories soon…

The whole game is a touch more aesthetically pleasing, even though I kind of had to trade some frames for the lighting and battle system. The enemies, the player, and the equipment have been balanced out to fit the style of progression. Some areas will be overpowering, but the oppurtunity to be well balanced is always there. You might need to look for it however…

That’s all for today, but I’ll be back with character descriptions soon.

Path of Kami: The Evolution of the Lore

What you all think

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Spaaaace~

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)

Drawn in Piskel using my mouse. Whaddya think?

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
