You could cut it out of the series, and it would still make sense, and none of the characters seem to remember anything that happened in that episode anyway.
Also a complaint about the series as a whole:
WHAT WOULD THE POINT OF SHOWING N AND V'S PAST RELATIONSHIP IF THE NEXT EPISODE IMMEDIATELY IGNORES THAT AND STARTS TO MAKE NUZI CANON???
