The LB&SCR E2 Class was a class of 10 0-6-0T steam locomotives that was designed by Lawson Billinton and built by Brighton Works in 1913-1916 for the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway (LB&SCR) in the United Kingdom. There were 10 of these E2 class steam locomotives made:
LB&SCR E2 No.100
LB&SCR E2 No.101
LB&SCR E2 No.102
LB&SCR E2 No.103
LB&SCR E2 No.104
LB&SCR E2 No.105
LB&SCR E2 No.106
LB&SCR E2 No.107
LB&SCR E2 No.108
LB&SCR E2 No.109
They were generally employed for shunting, piloting duties in London terminal, empty-stock duties and local goods train in the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway (LB&SCR) up until 1963 where they were all withdrawn for retirement and all 10 of the E2 class steam locomotives have been scrapped. Not a single one was preserved.
So I made these drawings to show the original 10 E2 class locomotives when they were still working for the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway (LB&SCR) and if they were transferred to the United States and put to work in the Western & Atlantic Railroad (W&A) in Georgia and preserved in the United States. The other 2 E2 class our my own style of it.
