-- VERSION 1.2.1 --
VERSION 0 BEAR'S NIGHT PARTIAL REVERT
Prior to v1.2.0, Version 0 was unable to enter the maintenance room and block your cassette until Crafty and Tricksy weren't at the door or walking past the window. This created a strategy for Bear's Night where players would purposely let the Crafty's Crafts Lite shortcut break, so that Crafty and Tricksy would attack directly after each other for the entire night. This caused Version 0 to be completely eliminated from the challenge.
In v1.2.0, Version 0 was changed so that he is able to enter maintenance and block your cassette player while Crafty and Tricksy were walking past the window. This was done to dissuade people from using the "shortcut strategy" in Bear's Night. Some players' feedback suggests that this made the night's flow much worse and pushed it to be more RNG based than skill and reaction based.
Now in v1.2.1, I'm changing Version 0 so that he's now only able to enter maintenance while Crafty and Tricksy are walking past the window if the shortcut has been broken. Otherwise, he will be back to how he used to be where he can only enter when the door and window are completely free.
I personally think that the "shortcut strategy" in Bear's Night is not the direction I want to go for the game's hard mode. Completely removing a character, especially one that only appears in one other night, doesn't feel right to me and doesn't do the character justice. This partial revert makes it so that no matter what strategy people use for the challenge, Version 0 will always be present and makes the shortcut breaking more punishing than helpful (as it should be). Playing Bear's Night in this version without the shortcut strategy makes it so the player will now encounter Version 0, but only when there's downtime between Crafty and Tricksy's attacks.
I apologise for the change I made in v1.2.0, ruining the flow of Bear's Night for many players. I hope these changes will fix that and give it a much more satisfying loop! Let me know if there are any more problems with it.
BRIGHTNESS CONTROL
When launching the game, a brightness control screen will show after the warning screen. This will show a preview of the in-game office and allows the player to adjust the brightness to a level they're comfortable with. This brightness adjustment will only apply to the game's night sections and not on any menus or minigame sections.
This is from a few complaints of the game's cameras being especially dark. Since everybody's monitors are different, I thought this would be the best solution!
This will be available for Crafty's Play Zone: Reuploaded too.
MISCELLANEOUS
Subtitles have been visually updated to make them clearer to read.
The spacing between some letters being too big has been fixed.
Subtitles have been slightly reduced in size so they take up less space on the screen.
These updates will be added to Crafty's Play Zone: Reuploaded too.
Added a small glitch sound which plays when trying to rewind the cassette player when the Cublets have shut the power off.
Made some visual updates to the camera map for better readability for newer players.
A small marker with text saying "YOU" is placed in the office on the camera map. This is to better show players where you are in the building.
The "No Entry" symbol that was placed on the building's entrance has been removed from the map. Since it didn't represent any sort of gameplay feature like the Crafty's Crafts Lite shortcut and Tricksy Towers Cupboard ones do, I thought it would be best to remove it all together to avoid confusion.
The previously mentioned "No Entry" symbols have also been increased in size to hopefully help new players understand their importance better.
