I love V as a character, she was by far the most interesting and developed character in the entire series.
And as sad as I was when she sacrificed herself... I wished she didn't come back in the finale.
She sacrificed herself for a reason, and...
...Time to put it into words:
Back at the mansion, in the past, N and V loved each other, they shared similar interests, they really cared for each other.
But in the future, as the series progressed, they grew further and further apart, N grew closer to Uzi. And V? She watched as she and N drifted apart.
In episode 6, at that elevator, even though N begged her to come with them, she stayed and cut the cable. She realized that she and N had grown too far apart, and that she wished that she told him everything sooner, as it was now to late... and had to watch him be with someone else.
She willingly gave her life for theirs, not just for their protection, but also for her to end her own torment that her own internal conflict trapped herself in, her eternal dream.
She sacrificed herself to be free, not just herself but for all of them, N and Uzi.
That's why I felt as though she shouldn't have come back in the finale... She already fought with her demons and she won...
