Illagus 2.0 is out now! Check out the changes below (I might have missed some). I hope you enjoy the update. If there are any issues/bugs/suggestions I would love to hear them.


Illagus 2.0 Update Notes/Changes:

  • Removed: No longer able to play multiple characters in the same run

  • New: Character Selection with Unlockable Characters

  • Ranger is now unlockable

  • New Character: Bard, Summon and control creatures with music to do the heavy work for you

  • New Character: Crystalmancer, a mage with the ability to create (unstable) exploding crystals

  • New Character: Outsider, a melee specialist with very low life, but high movement speed and attack speed

  • New Artifacts and Items and shops to go with the new playable characters

  • All Playable characters and almost all enemies have had balance changes done to them in some way, shape or form.

  • Improved monster and item placement

  • New Environments: The Jungle and The Ship.

  • Survive in the Jungle, a difficult environment that may be impossible to find back if you leave.

  • Reach the Ship and survive the final onslaught and face the final boss to get of the island.

  • New enemies, elites and bosses

  • New: Quests! Unlock and discover the quest fairies. Complete their quests and they will help you in your next run

  • New Room Type: Help a person in need and choose a reward best suited to your needs

  • New Room Type: Clear an entire room without getting hit and earn a powerful crystal item

  • New interactable: Some shops will provide the option to pay for a reroll of the items that are offered

  • New interactable: Sacrifice a part of your gold for a chance at a random reward (or nothing at all)

  • New Basic Tutorial Screen, visible when you start a new game

  • Changed some room percentages so more interesting rooms should appear more often

  • Updated the danger indicator used by some enemies

  • Buffed healing potions to make them more rewarding

  • Removed some unnecessary items/artifacts

  • Slightly increased the melee hitbox for melee characters

  • Increased the arrow speed for the playable ranger.

  • Minor Improvement to the text signs that you can come across to improve readability

  • Hover over your equipped artifacts to get information as to what they do/provide.

  • Slime enemies should overlap less often when spawned from a bigger slime

Next up

The next update is almost here! The new update will be available for the main game on the 19th of December, with the demo soon to follow. Stay tuned for more info & what to expect.

Hey everyone. In the update tomorrow you might notice a couple of changes to the combat in illagus. Several changes have been made. An overal increase in attack speed, more reactive enemies, critical strikes and charge attacks. More info below.

Hey everyone. The video above showcases 2 of the main features for the coming illagus update: updated caves and large rooms. Caves will be entirely optional content. Explore underground areas, both large and small with new enemies, traps, bosses and more.

Hey everyone. Today I want to share a bit more about what's coming in the next update: Updated Islands, revamped trap rooms, timed chests and behavioral changes to several enemies.

I just want to say thank you. Hundreds of people have now played illagus, way more than I ever expected. I have already started working on the next update, which should bring some very exiting things to the game and I can't wait for everyone to play it.

Hey everyone. The small patch will be released tomorrow. In the short video above you can see the changes that have been made to the vertical movement. With the press of a button you can instantly change between the lane based movement and free movement.

In the coming update you will be able to unlock multiple playable characters. Also new are the quest fairies that will reward you (for your next run only) if you complete their assignment.

Only ~24 hours to go. The demo will also receive an update with the new changes, however a large part of the new content will not be reachable due to the demo level limit of 20 (was previously 15).
