Hello there everyone! It’s been quite a while hasn’t it?

Life (as par for the course nowadays) has continued to be busy and sometimes stressful for everyone on the team, however we are still managing as we speak. In fact, before we showcase some of what we have been working on, we have an important announcement to make.

So, remember when we announced a few months ago that we were changing this project to a multimedia project? Well, for those who haven’t yet heard in the Discord server, we are reverting back to the original plan of releasing the project as a playable game. As it turns out we have enough resources and assets to be able to continue game production as planned. We will proceed with our original plan of releasing each chapter individually. 

This inevitably leads to the question: When will the first chapter be complete? While we do not have a definitive answer to that question currently, we can discuss our progress on different aspects of the work we have been doing in order to paint a picture of where we currently stand progress-wise.

Music: 95%: We still have approximately around 3 or 4 songs still needing to be finished and/or updated before the Flooded Temples Demo Soundtrack can finally be complete.

Sprites: 80%: We still need to finish various overworld sprite assets as well as re-doing and/or creating battle sprites that are needed. However, we are making better progress each day. Most of the rooms have been sprited and are awaiting polish work and additional assets.

Writing: 75%: More than half of the rooms beyond the Mini Demo have their events scripted, as well as previous rooms in the Mini Demo being altered or re-written altogether. 

Coding: 50%: Unfortunately, due to how our workflow operates, all of the other assets need to be finished first to make things as easy as possible on coders’ ends. With that said, once the other assets have been fully completed, coding will be far easier once everything has been properly organized.

With all of this said and done, we figured it’s been a while since any of you have seen anything we have been doing. So, to prove that production is in fact still happening, here are some assets we have been working on.

Now in case you haven't seen, the rooms are at the very top above the Article Title. (GameJolt please fix your article formatting features to the way they were before please and thank you.) These rooms are (of course) out of order as to not risk giving away too many spoilers for what it is we have in store. Certain rooms as you can see have placeholders, this is because certain rooms don't yet have all of the assets needed, so to compensate we have these placeholders to help signify to the spriters what kind of mood the room has as well as setting. This helps us in the long run with knowing which assets still need to be created, as well as which ones need to be altered from time to time. However, we hope that this shows you that we have a lot more in store that meets the eye.
