So I wanted to get this out since I saw one of my friends who are a therian almost buy a tail that I know is from a cruel fur farm. So I wanted to share some tips and facts about where to buy ethical gear that treat animals well :)

1: Almost all cruel fur farms are from Asia. I know this because in Asia animal rights are absolutely not protected in any way, so a lot of people 4bus3 animals there and take their tails to sell.

2: NEVER buy fur tails from Wish, Aliexpress, EBay, or Amazon. These websites are linked with Asia and most of the tails on there are DEFINITELY from cruel fur farms (I’ll talk about how I know later.)

3: If on the website it shows a stonk/model image of it then it’s probably a cruel farm.

Now here’s how I know. I’ll use Amazon for example.

This was the tail my friend was gonna get and I immediately knew it was from a cruel fur farm by the clamp/“clip”. 

Asia has a signature lobster clamp that all cruel fur farms in Asia use. Where it has a gold or silver clip and a chain that connects to a stump that goes in the tail. Aka a stump that connects to the bone of the dead animal. [Plus it could also be a stonk image the company stole from the internet cause most cruel farms don’t care for quality and just give tails away for low prices cause they don’t care and just stuff it, ship it, move on to the next animal.]

Anyway.

4: If the tail looks smaller, thinner, or less healthy then it was from an 4bus3d animal aka a cruel fur farm.

5: If the tail is bleached or painted then again it may be from a cruel fur farm. Not all but a lot of cruel fur farms use bleach and if the bleach is done poorly then you can really tell that it’s a real animal tail cause it will start to mold.

6: If the tails are WAY TO CHEAP. Then yes it’s probably from a cruel fur farm. (Most ethical farm tails go to 20-30 dollars.)

If you want tails that are not from a cruel fur farm I would HIGHLY suggest Etsy! But still be very careful since there are still some people that sell cruel tails there! But mostly ethical ones are there. Pay attention to the price! 

Take this for example:

The price shows that the people do care for the tails and the animals plus it’s not a stonk image and instead it was taken by a camera.

And based on the clip being like this instead of a lobster clamp shows that it isn’t from Asia.

[Disclaimer: A LOT of websites such as Amazon can LIE and say it’s faux fur but it’s NOT. So please watch for the signs I said.]
