Five Nights With 39: Impurity

Impurity ~ Early tests involving placeholder enemies, health and combat. (Content subject to change.)

While Impurity strays away from the RPG elements seen in Five Ventures With 39, it takes inspiration from 2D Zelda by keeping exploration and combat on the same screen.
Maximizing immersion and minimizing repetitive transitions back and forth.

This satisfying torch attack damages your foes and burns their bodies upon death, this will be the main attack with a possible upgraded version if I can get that working stably.

The enemy design seen here are placeholders to test the A.I., which a smaller type of enemy that can swarm you easily as seen in the video. I have atleast 3 other types of A.I. planned.

The health system is a minimal yet effective one, giving visual/audio cues when you're close to death.
When materials are gathered & potions are crafted, you can restore health willy-nilly.

Of course this will be more polished in the future, just wanted to give you all a little peek!
Hope you enjoyed this little clip!

Newer, accurate models of 39 & his friends were set to replace them, with improved security technology, nullifying the need for a nightguard. But the new green rabbit would face a devastating malfunction, attacking everything on sight, with brute force.

He was forced out by the beast, Plushie still trapped inside, it is unknown if they even survived. 39 was left to wander the streets, alone.

Beta Available Now, Merry Christmas!

The one that he called: Sam, arrived at the studio just before 12am, unbeknownst to them, he had a plan: To participate in various amounts of tomfoolery.

Your fellow classmates when you pull out a pack of gum:

Someone on discord suggested I make 39 do the rabbit pocket watch meme, so I did :P

Since I've made it painfully obvious something new is in the works, the GameJolt page for Custom Nights With 39 is officially live: https://gamejolt.com/games/CNW39/1000802

Foxioo's static shader is quite satisfying to look at, still got a few kinks to iron out though.

Plushie be like: You're doing that the stupid way, this is how it's done!

A closer look at the procedurally generated fog and the dying trees blowing in the wind.

I've admittedly spent more time than needed just taking in the environment because it's so relaxing... for me anyway xP
