Together Again X and Y/Legends Z-A: Gears of Calamity

During the fateful fire at Lake’s Funland, Haiden/Lucas and Ashley are trying to escape the blaze when they’re all dragged into a portal with Lake. The Demonic Entity/Handshaker, angry that it’s hold on the establishment and souls of the children was broken, uses its power to banish the four away from their world.

Haiden and Lake are accidentally sent three thousand years into Kalos’ past, at the climax of the Ultimate Weapon’s firing and resulting destruction. The two animatronics are changed by the effects of both events, becoming human but also being changed into hybrids of the regions legendaries, Xerneas and Yveltal.

In mastering their new powers and abilities the two save the entire Kalos region from the backlash of the Ultimate Weapon, restoring peace and prosperity for its people. They’re both made Kalos’ new rulers after AZ is overthrown and condemned by the two to live for eternity as punishment for his crimes against the natural order.

But despite having everything, even marrying one another after Haiden confesses to Lake all that he and Lucas had been through, the two are still missing a part of themselves. Having become rather attached to Lucas and Ashley, considering the two their (adopted) children, both are despondent without them but never give up looking for them as the two were brought with them.

Lake and Haiden would search tirelessly for their children for three thousand years, returning to their tree/cocoon forms when their life force wanes and awakening again to restart the cycle anew.

Its during their current slumber that Lucas and Ashley fall into Kalos, changing the fate of the region once more…

Until Legends Z-A is either out or we have more information, this Au will be on the backburner until then, for now have my designs of Xerneas!Haiden and Yveltal!Lake.

Though I might use the X/Y games if I want to draw anything for it before Z-A comes out. And it’ll be its own Plotline/Au that follows the events of those games.

Let’s just say Lysandre awakens Lake and Haiden and they both fly into a rage due to accidentally taking back all of the power Lysandre used for the Ultimate weapon. This overload makes them both feral and dangerous as they desperately try to vent the excess power, destroying everything around them in the process.

That is until they see Lucas and Ashley struggling out from amidst the destruction they caused, to which they lock on and pursue their children in order to keep them safe.

Xerneas!Haiden is the more motherly of the two, making sure the kids are safe and protected, he’s a bit of a country guy and loves dashing through fields and forests. Going on hiking trips and exploring due to not seeing much of the outside world, even when he went out the Funland back in Montreal (when he was being possessed by Lucas). He didn’t get the chance to truly explore, so he’s seizing the chance with both hands.

Lake meanwhile, while having a shorter temper and a colder personality, takes his job seriously but loves being the centre of attention (he’s very vain). You’ll often find him in the city, either drinking coffee at one of the cafes in Lumiose city or shopping for things for his husband (Haiden) and children (Lucas and Ashley). He’s like one of those fancy ladies that likes gossip, fancy drinks and looking good but loves his husband and supports him (healthy relationship ftw).

Why is Haiden a Xerneas and Lake a Yveltal? Well I thought the colour match would make more sense but then I realised the legendaries natures wouldn’t fit the two’s personalities. And yes, this is a Lake x Haiden Au where they actually married one another, they also consider Ashley and Lucas their children. They still hold power as the kings of Kalos but the nobility that exists today are just stewards until the two awaken once more, only the Pokémon league and other important individuals (like the Professor of the region) know that Haiden and Lake are Kalos’ true rulers.

Oh and due to the portal and being separated from Haiden, Lucas got his human/physical form back, though he lost most of his powers temporarily. He regains them as he and Ashley’s adventure progresses, this is to keep him from being too OP during the start. Though he and Ashley still possess their memories and he uses his knowledge of Pokémon to help guide Ashley around this new world they’ve found themselves in.
