Clyde Slicker
Joined Game Jolt: 2015
Hobbies: Probably something shady
Dislikes: Questions
Bio: To be completely honest, very little is known about this arctic fox. He's most commonly seen in dark alleys, and hanging around near abandoned buildings or parks in the dead of night, though the word "commonly" is quite an overstatement. Authorities would love to take him in for questioning, yet he's always managed to slip away somehow; a sly one, to be sure.

Author's notes:
Unlike the other mascots, this is the only mascot the entire Game Jolt staff (at the time of his creation) was able to voice their opinions on as I worked on his design. Believe me, you wouldn't even recognize him if you saw the initial concept, but I'll leave that to your imaginations.
Clyde Slicker is the mascot of Client. Most mascots that promote a product or service such as this would probably have a very positive vibe to them, wearing their personalities on their sleeves, but not Clyde. His mysterious nature was based on the suspicion some have that anything downloaded on the internet is dangerous or can't be trusted. Over the years, there have definitely been enough reasons to warrant such concern, I'm not trying to make some point in this regard, but in case you're wondering why Clyde is so suspicious, that's where the idea came from.
Before I send this off, I'd like to treat you all to an illustration I painted of Clyde in 2018 that has never been seen by the public:
This image was a play on the famous gutter scene from the movie IT, which was an incredibly popular source of meme material at the time of its creation. Clyde was supposed to be tempting the viewer with a substantial update to Client. Unfortunately, time passed us by, other memes took the spotlight, and this idea didn't seem as relevant anymore, but at least you all get to see it now. I think part of what makes it funny is that Clyde certainly isn't anywhere near as scary as Pennywise.
Anyway, I've really enjoyed sharing some insight on how our mascots have become a part of the world of Game Jolt, and I hope you've all enjoyed the journey, as well. Game Jolt does have some other characters I may or may not discuss at some point in time, but the ones I've shared up to this point are what I'd consider to be the stars of the cast.
Thank you very much for following along, and for supporting Game Jolt. You can see how much work goes in to every little detail by our small team, and your enthusiasm is what keeps us going. Much love to you all!
