its not cancelled or anything, but im gonna stop giving myself deadlines, so for now its kinda indefinitely delayed. I just wanna talk about how we got here

progress was going as normal until the game became unbearable to develop on my school laptop, so i was forced to stop developing at school, limiting development to only when im at home. that ON ITS OWN would be a hefty slow down since i also have chores and homework to deal with when i get home, however I need to be honest with yall

i have barely touched the game since late january.

its true what they say, change is hard, and 99% of the game was developed while at school, so i wasn't really used to developing it all at home. on top of that, most of the time the first thing i do when i get home is plop on my bed. it turns out that i am way more locked in on development at school than at home. I am also a terrible procrastinator, so that doesn't help. I am sorry if this upsets you, and feel free to throw eggs at me in the comments. another factor was how unsure i was about HOW to tackle what i wanted to code. some of my ideas were getting pretty complicated to handle in scratch itself. than the whole scratch AI thing happened, and I was left with MORE things to figure out. that being said, here is the plan.

first of all, Jaden's new versions will NOT be posted to scratch, even IF they fic the AI thing. this is because I will be utilizing turbowarp extensions. the current plan is to upload it to itch and game banana. This means i will be able to add a few more things to the game. some things i have planned are

Controller support

Camera code

Characters that use the extensions

Automatic saving (like in melvore resharpened)
