Omnicore is the official development team behind Omniengine, a free, all-in-one creative platform for games, apps, animation, music, modeling, and more.
We’re not a massive studio, we’re a small, focused group of developers, artists, and creators who believe in building tools that truly empower people. No subscriptions, no corporate nonsense, just raw, intuitive power for anyone who wants to create.
At the core of everything we do is one belief:
"Anything is possible. The only limit is your imagination."
Omniengine is about giving creators power without subscriptions, bloated tools, or red tape. Everything should just work, feel intuitive, and let you create without limits. And now, we’re looking for others who believe in that too.
What We're Building
We’re developing Omniengine to be a powerful, creator-first engine that combines everything in one place. That means built-in tools for code, visual scripting, music, 2D/3D art, modeling, rigging, animation, sound design, UI, and more all wrapped in a unified, clean interface. No plugins, no external dependencies, just one cohesive environment designed to bring creative visions to life.
The engine works fully offline by default, but includes optional cloud support and real-time collaboration for those who want it. Omniengine is being built from the ground up to compete with Unity, Unreal, and Godot, except ours isn’t controlled by shareholders or license traps. This is an engine by creators, for creators.
Want to Help? Start Here
We’re currently building the Omnicore Team, a collective of developers, designers, and contributors who want to build something revolutionary. Whether you’re a pro or just passionate about helping creators, this is your chance to get in at the ground level and help shape the direction of the engine.
That said, we want to be fully transparent: this is a volunteer team for now. Omniengine is currently self-funded, and we aren’t offering paid roles yet. But your work will be recognized and preserved, and once we generate revenue (through optional services or donations), paid positions and revenue sharing will absolutely be on the table. If you're in it for the mission, not the paycheck, you're exactly who we're looking for.
Speaking of...
Roles We’re Looking For
We’re open to anyone with strong motivation and a creator-first mindset. But here are a few areas we’re actively looking to fill:
We need C++ developers to work on the core engine and scripting systems. We’re also looking for tool programmers to help build in-engine editors for animation, modeling, music, and more. If you’re a UI/UX designer, you’d help shape the feel and flow of the entire experience. We’d also love help from engine artists who can contribute interface art, icons, or editor visuals. And if you’re skilled with documentation, writing tutorials, or engaging with communities, you can play a key role in making the engine usable and welcoming to everyone.
If none of these sound like you, but you still want to help, don’t hesitate to reach out anyway. We’re open-minded.
How We Work
We’re fully remote, and everything is flexible. You contribute when you can, at your own pace. There are clear goals and milestones, but no crunch culture or unreasonable demands.
Communication is friendly and transparent. Everyone has a voice. Contributions are always credited, and we keep detailed changelogs so everyone’s work is visible and appreciated.
If you have an idea, a skill, or just a passion to help build something truly useful, there’s a place for you here.
So... Why Join?
Because this isn’t just another project, this is a foundation, a platform, a toolset that could empower thousands of creators for years to come, and you can help shape it from the very beginning.
You won’t be a cog. You’ll be a core—an Omnicore. Your ideas will influence real features. Your code, art, or writing will help people do what they love. This is a chance to make something bold, something meaningful, and learn a ton while doing it.
If that sounds like something you want to be a part of, don’t wait.
