I've been wanting to do a remake for Phobia in Blender's game engine (since I was becoming more familiar with it) ever since I finished the sixth Phobia game in December 2018. I wanted to keep going with that series, but I instead wanted to start fresh and make better ideas. It took a few years to get right, but I'm very glad it turned out the way it did!
It wasn't until August 26th I decided to ask the FNaF Subreddit if they'd be interested in playing it, and people reacted positively to my surprise! I added in a "go back to main menu" screen and then released it the next day, August 27th. Of course, the lack of full testing led to the new screen causing a bug with the tapes, but I was quick to fix that.
"Why did you make this post today and not on the 28th?"
I could have waited, but I wanted to say it anyway now. There won't be much anniversary stuff on the 28th of this month, because I'd rather wait for its public release day in August. I have some neat little plans for its first anniversary, and I hope I can get everything done by then. Maybe I'll share a little more information about that on the 28th!
If all goes well, then it's going to be almost like Christmas to people who really enjoyed the first game!
