The vfx side of the project was a task that is mostly finished as seen at the title of this post but there are a few things left that has to be done here,

-Upstairs map (Done)
-Character Designs (In progress)
-Outside map (Not started)

AI

screenshot_2024-05-16_140242.png

In most general FNAF fangames, there is a character, he moves a few cameras, he has a jumpscare, and he has an AI level that reaches 20. If I used this template my game would probably be close to finish, instead I decided on a different layout to attempt to make my game different and unique and all the more annoying to make.

Next to each character in the roster for custom night will be 2 selectors. 1) for the AI difficulty as normal, 2) for the quantity of that animatronic in the game (5 max), as you can see this may make the game have a crazy max mode for all you max mode enjoyers out there. this also makes I as the programmer have to do 5x the amount of programming for each AI, this will delay development but I do believe it will be worth it.

This part has not been developed yet .

Music and Sound

Sound design in the game is mostly composed of myself going around the house recording random samples and plugging them into the game.

The music is being created using a program I'm fairly new to called FL Studio (I know its crazy).

Other difficulties encountered during programming

just wanted to mention this stupid window:

screenshot_2024-05-16_140946.png

some indexed array index shenanigans. (took like 5 days of nonstop troubleshooting to fix but basically the things behind the window weren't showing up because some events were listed in the wrong order)

Beta's

Now for the beta's

what I've done so far:

Developer Beta v0.0.11 (25 Jan 24)
Developer Beta v0.0.12 (10 Feb 24)

what I'm working on:

Developer Beta v0.0.13 (A lot of things)

what's to come:

Developer Beta v0.0.14 (Finish AI)
Developer Beta v0.0.15 (Finalize sound design and stuff)
Release Beta v0.0.16 (Public Build)

I know I said that the release beta was coming ages ago but I realized how much is left to go.

Hopefully this helps people get a grasp on what's to come and what I am working on that is taking forever.

I'm pretty happy with these models though I've noticed some inaccuracies I may go back and fix at some point.
