The story takes place after the events of Kirby Star Allies, a mysterious waddle dee soldier in a different color rushes towards his majesty and informs tells her about Nightmare's death and Kirby, surprised by this, she heads off to her chambers asking her crystal ball for word on Kirby, the crystal ball shows a little history about Kirby, showing the many battles Kirby encountered on his adventure. Furious by this, she vowed that she would avenge her brother in the name of her kingdom. Meanwhile back on Popstar, Kirby begins to enjoy his favorite snack, when all of a sudden, darkness starts to return towards dreamland, vanishing somewhere in the middle of planet popstar. Confused thinking of it as a comet, Kirby decides to follow it's exact location and have a clear look at it.
