personally i never really liked DLCs as a concept it's just spending more money for more content and in pokemon's case it still sucks it's just more money for all the new content the game has to offer let's take legends Z-A for example you don't even get all the new megas which i think is stupid and just to get ALL of the megas you need the DLC now for a new story and all the megas were in the base game i wouldn't care as much and to be fair pokemon had special or third editions from gens 1-4 back then it was just an option it only introduced a combination of the two games it didn't add new pokemon or anything it was just a new story with some fixes to the original games it was just an option but for the modern day DLCs it's like YOU NEED em to just have everything the new gen has to offer especially with legends Z-A where you can't even get all the new megas without having to spend more money on a 60-70 dollar game and speaking of the game i might do a rant on the full game at some point to give my own opinions on it but since i'm talking about DLCs for pokemon i won't do it here but anyway the third editions were like a compilation it was like the better option some people were torn from which version to get and the third version was always a combination of both so it was a great option for the people who can't decide and to be fair version exclusives DO exist even back then and they were done for trading but for the lonely they did have to get two copies of the same game and two of the device but hey it was back then when kids could freely be outside without being kidnapped or anything unlike these days but i feel like i yapped enough so yeah later
