Lore

As you can probably tell by now, the player’s office is actually an abandoned M.E.G (Major Explorer Group) Base.

The base itself was formed when a bunch of wanderers trapped in Level 0 ran into each other, and decided to build a colony in the Level for other wanderers to rest and store their stuff without worry.

The base did very well. Wanderers would come to visit, trade, and rest all the time, it was a popular base in Level 0. The wanderers which formed then base eventually built a storage room down the left hallway to store their things. Aside from that, M.E.G members from from Level 1 would come to visit and perform research on the Backrooms and the entities it inhabits, discovering all their strengths and weaknesses.

It was until the entities started showing up more and more. As the weeks went by, the entities kept coming back more aggressive each time, stopping at nothing until they had the wanderers’ souls in their hands. It was unfortunate enough that a member of the Base named Bella was attacked and killed by a Skin-Stealer (this is mentioned on one of the notes on the board).

More wanderers kept getting attacked, even dying to the entity attacks. Some of the wanderers themselves even moved to Level 1’s base due to the dangers. It was finally time to do something.

The founders of the base issued an emergency evacuation. Instructing all wanderers who were staying in the base to pack their belongings and leave, never to return again. When the last of the wanderers left, the base was left to rot, abandoned.

Years later when the player, Jake, arrives. They seek refuge in the abandoned base. Turning all the equipment back on, roaring back to life. Lighting up like a beacon in the infinity corridors, a beacon which has unfortunately attracted his past pursuers.

A New Journey!

Devruary Day 8: What Engine Are You Using In Your Current Game?

TurboWarp and Unity!

TurboWarp is being used to develop my most anticipated game, (B) Escape From Reality.

While I'm using Unity for a university project in the works!

#Devruary!

"Torment is nothing but the illusion of a bright light in a transience place like this."

(EFR, V2.0)

V1.1 will make this game less waiting!

Merry Christmas to you all!

V2 will be so much better, trust me chat.

Unrelated to development, but I'm running this game on OperaGX. Works well for web games, especially with how less optimised V1 is compared to V2.

Chat, how does my TV look?
