Lost to Time - August Update


Greetings and welcome to the August update of Lost to Time!

Here's what I've completed in the past few weeks:

  • Magi Revamps - Shizuka, Sayuri, Minerva, and Sanctus
    This took up a bulk of the work this month. All (but 1) of the Magi have been completely reworked! This includes:

    • Animation Revamps
      Many more frames of hand drawn animation for each attack. This provides a huge increase to the flow and responsiveness of the game. The magi, being the very first sprites in the game, were in desperate need of a graphical update.

    • Ability Revamps
      While most abilities remained the same, various tweaks have been made to the way each Magi plays:

      • Shizuka and Sayuri

        • More controlled aerial attacks.

        • Better visual effects for ultimate / special 3

      • Minerva - Various ability tweaks

      • Sanctus

        • Clearer effects for ground attacks (synced with hitbox better)

        • Reduced cast time of Special 4 to 1.5 seconds and has much clearer animation.

        • Better visual effects for ultimate

        • Fixed a bug where multiple soul animations were spawning from defeating an enemy with multiple bullets at the same time.

  • Various Animation System Bug Fixes

These past few months have been lots of revamping. The following months will be the development of the final features of the game, so stay tuned, especially for beta information!
