Disclaimer: I do not intend to be harsh on the game. Every comment is for the sake of constructive criticism.
Lucid Night is a game that fails to be... a game - it's all presentation and no substance.
Even though its graphics are absolutely beautiful, it underdelivers extremely on the gameplay part.
Its mechanics are very bland and the overall gameplay cycle is therefore dull. There is only two ways to fend off the animatronics, these being shutting the left door (for Toy Bonnie) and putting on your mask (for Toy Chica). That being said, the animatronics have no way of tricking you into making a mistake, so winning is incredibly easy - just push two buttons whenever you need to (not that often).
Even though it is a one-night experience the game feels very repetitive and just isn't fun.
In terms of animation the developer has a clear talent, as showcased by the mask wearing animation and the jumpscares. However, these are the only instances of anything animated within the game, which is just lost potential.
Also, why doesn't Toy Chica have a place in the menu screen and her own Game Over Screen?
Finally the game doesn't have a phone call to explain its unbelievably simple mechanics but instead, it teaches them to you via text. This is just a sign of laziness in my opinion.
