Mai isn't the protagonist whatsoever, but suddenly after the character is made, it's one of my favorite OCs. She's the deuteragonist, the protagonist is the male character Faris. Her other friends of them is Ming Ling, Sam, Willow and Wither (or his real name William).
All six characters are stuck in a game called "Midnight Madness". It's a mysterious game that will take everyone who try to play it. Unfortunately everyone who tried to escape fails and dies, later become either an npc or opponents of whatever. But there are 4 people, those actually want to rule the game and never let Mai and her friends escape the game. But the gang won't give up and will try to escape the game anyway.
Bonus:
The reason why I put the joke "I copied Ferdigital" to Mai's cameo appearance is because I realized that she and Fer is almost the same, just has some visible differences.
