v0.5.3-stable: “Exile to Constellation” (Act I) & The Great Optimization

Hello everyone,

I am proud to present v0.5.3, a major milestone update that not only pushes the story forward into its most complex arc yet, but also fundamentally rebuilds the game’s architecture.

Chapter 4.5: Act I — “Thou Shalt Not Make Unto Thee Any Graven Image”

The investigation into the vanishing students leads Neon and Argon to the very heart of Veritas City’s culture — the prestigious Academy and the dazzling world of Seraphina.

This is not just another chapter; it is a descent into a labyrinth of smiles and secrets. You will meet Lily, a girl chasing a dream that might be a nightmare; Kai Ito, a student who sees too much; and Akari, a teacher with a passion for… order.

In Act I, the trap is set. The music is playing. And Neon is about to learn that in a world obsessed with idols, the most dangerous thing you can do is look behind the mask.

This chapter grew into a narrative beast, evolving into a feature-length story within the story. To maintain the highest quality and pacing, Chapter 4.5 has been divided into two Acts. Act I is available now.

Technical Overhaul: The Great Optimization

While the story grows heavier, the game client has become significantly lighter. I have conducted a massive optimization of the entire project assets pipeline.

• Visuals: All high-quality PNG and JPG assets have been converted to WebP. This modern format retains visual fidelity while drastically reducing file size.

• Audio: All MP3 and OGG tracks (BGM and SFX) have been converted to Opus. This provides superior audio quality at lower bitrates.

The Result: The total game size has been reduced by approximately 2.5 times. This means faster downloads, quicker loading times, and a smoother experience on all devices, without sacrificing a single pixel of quality or a note of the soundtrack.

A Note on What Comes Next:

Act I sets the stage. Act II will burn it down. The second half of Chapter 4.5 is currently in production. The tension established here will reach its breaking point. Prepare for the storm that follows the calm.
