Welcome everyone, to our first Devlog since Ownership got changed to me! A lot has happened that I'd like to go over, so sit back and get some popcorn, and read ahead!

A Recap on Ownership Changes

So, as a majority have already heard in the past, ownership was transferred to me, @Inkerstinker around April 2023, and @ShellmeSandles_ left the project and the UTC as a whole (the reason which we will not get into).

Since I've got hands on the AU, nearly everything at this point before the ownership change has been scrapped. A factory reset, for the better, resulting in the Rebranding.

Let's get into the nitty gritty details of the AU, shall we?

Concepts and Writing

So far, the very early stages of the project have had concepts developed, around the point of Snowdin (or now known as Amber Cliffs, and Sepia Home) have been developed.

Chara and Asriel are now swapping instead of Chara and Frisk. This is a concept I do not see used often in AU's, and would be a very nice change of pace for this reimagining of Underswap.

The first area, originally known as the Waterways, will now be separated into two sections. The first known as the Wetlands, which is a Waterfall-like area where not many monsters reside, while the Waterways will be a gated community, more like the Ruins we all know and love from the original Undertale.

A lot of other ideas have sparked so far, as for the script on the project, it has yet to have been started.

Here are some concept ideas that @Salocinick , the co-director has made so far for Sans (they are for the most part scrapped).

Music and Sprites

On the sprite side of the spectrum, it has been rather constant rate of work that has gotten done on both the Overworld side and battle sprite side.

Not much can be really said, as we haven't focused on any main characters besides sans, but that's mainly because we want to get the boring and obvious stuff out of the way so we can focus on the juicy stuff!

However, with the music side of things, Synth/Snowy Mints has helped so far make the first few tracks, and we have these to boot!

We highly suggest you check out the themes and the creator herself, as she is a really good musician! Not much else can be said on the music side of things.
