Hello Everyone. Thank you for being patient and waiting for this next installment in this project.

Since the middle half of Summer, Vacations and goofing off has delayed this project a LOT. However with the start of school, I intend on picking up the pace with the project. So let's get started.

Coding Progress?

Yes, your eyes don't deceive you, there has been coding progress on the game by @Short_Monqey ! While small, it has helped get the general feel of the project and what is to be expected. Besides that, I can't report much besides the fact this is now officially heading for the path of a game!

Concepts and Writing!

One of the things about this project that has stayed consistent progress wise has been the ideas and concepts for the project.

THE INTRODUCTION OF MONSTER KID!!! (Art by @krisinallcaps ).

In the original UNDERTALE, Monster Kid was introduced in Waterfall as a side character who mainly looked up to Undyne and was courageous. So what if we took that concept and built more on it?

Now you will encounter Monster Kid in the Waterways and will tag along as a side Partner throughout the story in bits here and there. He sees you as someone just like him, a loner that just wants to explore, so quickly becomes friends with you. The bold rugrat will help with ACTING, puzzles, and stopping fights in general.

He also will change up a certain run, which many may not expect the road it takes...

We're also taking a different approach towards the monsters in the Waterways, with Froggit being an odd resemblance to a certain singing monster... (Art by @sTadz)

I would also like to go ahead an reveal that certain characters, such as River Person, will NOT swap as they have no direct pair or correlation in the underground. This also applies to Monster Kid.

We've also fleshed out characters dynamics and character arcs that the main cast will go through.

We have also made some sprite progression when it comes to Overworld Sprites, but we have a problem at hand...

Currently, due to Inactivity, a majority of the team members were given the boot. Now that has happened, we need as many hands on deck as possible.

Applications will close on 8/24/23 and we are mainly looking for OVERWORLD Sprite Artists such as Tilesets and backgrounds and MUSICIANS.
