First off, we're gonna go through this dev-log into 5 major parts,
A Coding Section
...This section is dedicated to the coding progress of the game so far!
An Art Section
...This section showcases the art, character designs and music of the game so far!
A Writing/Character Personality Section
...This section showcases some of the areas, routes, and character personalities!
A Social Section
...This section shows our social media such as twitter, discord, youtube, etc.
So, let's begin with the coding section!
CODING
To begin with, the game engine we're using is the same one UNDERTALE and many other fan projects use, Game Maker Studio 2! We're also using a premade engine specifically for UNDERTALE, which is TML Engine! I know I know, using a premade engine does seem a bit lazy, but trust me, it will not change the quality of the game one bit!
...And that's basically it! I don't know how to do these yet, and I don't know how to show you guys uhh, coding? But uhm, yeah! Next up,
ART
First, I'll be showcasing some of the character designs!
This is Chara's Character Design
(Yes, the arms are fully white, they are wearing a white long sleeve under their main shirt)

That's basically all we have for her!
Next design, the Care Giver, Asgore!
We do have more battle monster designs, but for now we're focusing on the main characters.

CHARACTER PERSONALITIES/AREAS
Alright, I'll start with the areas and work my way down.
The areas are going to be
OVERGROWN RUINS (AREA 1) ((+ Sub areas))
LUSHES ISLAND (AREA 2) ((+Sub areas))
FALLEN GLACIER (AREA 3) ((+Sub areas))
IMPLOADED VOLCANO (AREA 4) ((+Sub areas))
WARRIORS TEMPLE (AREA 5) ((+Sub areas))
The Chain Reaction (Sub area of the warriors temple, replacement of the core)
Abandoned City (FINAL AREA) ((replacement of new home))
The hall of crimes (Sub area of Abandoned City, final corridor filler)
The queens palace
The seal (the barrier filler)
Now for the routes, there will be 5 + neutral variants!
Understanding Route (Pacifist Route)
Self Defense Route (Neutral Route)
Extermination Route (Genocide Route)
Broken Trust Route (Interesting Variant of Neutral route if you kill a specific someone in the understanding route)
Event Horizon route (18 LV Neutral Route)
Next up, character personalities!
Chara and Frisk swap roles, but they are the only two that fully retain their own personalities. They don't swap personalities at all, only addition is Frisk is more daring and Chara is a lot reckless. Chara is the narrator in white text, in the extermination route, they will eventually become the red text. However, in the understanding route, Frisk is the yellow text.
Unfortunately, this is all I can share since it would be hard to figure out on your own. When the game releases, or the demo, you guys can figure this out on your own!
