Micro Progress Update 3


Hello once more!

Got another micro update on stuff, and it should (hopefully) be the last one before everything will be ready to go!

What's been done:

-Enemies have been added to all 3 zones on 8-bitronica, totaling to 12 types you can encounter while exploring the new area

-The first 3 bosses of XL have been added. While they don't have any special attacks to call their own, they are extremely tough to take on and hit like a truck.

-All 4 planned Flipside costumes are in and active

As for what's left to do...

-Add the remaining 4-5 bosses

-Add Unscrew to JJ's skillset

-Add an ending and an unlockable trophy to the main menu

I might also be able to add in a mini-boss, but if I don't, then don't be surprised that you might keep encountering BB and JJ as Challengers.

Next up

It's been a long time coming...

Yeah, we're doing this.

Still deciding if it's worth committing to a full rebuild, but I at least figured out a better way to handle the party swapping mechanic.

Pretty safe to say that Possy will be increasing the price of costumes to compensate for this recent development.

Turns out what the game actually needed was for me to take a proper break from development and enough time to realize what I had broken.

(It was the values tied to IDing what foe it'd be.)

It'll likely need more testing, but we're back in buisiness!

Suppose it was about time that some of these skills got a little extra kick.

While I chip away at the code for XL, I might as well show off the fruits of another thing I had tinkered with: modding custom music into Bionicle Heroes.

Figured it out.

First signs of danger.

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.
